Hey Friends! Welcome to my blog! I am so excited you are here to start our iNSD celebration with A Cherry on Top with a 6×6 Mixer Blog Hop! The blog hop will run until Monday and we have some wonderful prizes for you! Please comment along the way. We will randomly select one comment from which blog to win a prize! Here is the full line up!
I will be giving away a Simple Stories Prize Pack with includes the Sunshine and Blue Skies collectors essential kit with tote!!
We are all creating with 6×6 or 6×8 paper pads today! I love using the smaller paper pads I always reach for them and pick the smaller pads over 12×12 papers! I love using cut files and the smaller paper size works best for me. I love that the images are scaled down and can be seen when backing cut files! Today I am using the Simple Stories Hip Hop Hooray that you can pick up at A Cherry on Top! I know I can’t be the only one still documenting my Easter photos from this year!
I used a cut file from Cut to You and cut it out on some white American Crafts Textured Cardstock. I backed it with different papers from the Simple Stories Hip Hop Hooray collection. I love the colors and images in this collection.
For my background I also used a piece of white textured cardstock from American Crafts. I wanted to add some color using my Catherine Pooler Inks so I pulled out colors that I thought matched best! Eucalyptus, Skylight, Shea Butter, Party Dress and Rose Petals. I used the packaging technique to add color and also added some splatters!
I love the way the color looks behind the cutfile! The Catherine Pooler inks are fabulous for this technique but also stamp out amazing! You can find all the ink colors and more at A Cherry on Top!
I used the Hip Hop Hooray die cuts, brads and journal bits to embellish my layout. This all came together pretty quickly once my cutfile was backed. I love how it turned out! Here is a look at my completed layout!
Your next stop is Natalie! I hope you enjoy the hop today! Remember to leave some comments along the way for a chance to win a fabulous prize! Join us in the Cherry Crafters Facebook group this weekend for fun challenges and prizes and also on The Cherry on Top Forum!
